Infectious Disease SpecialistDr. Shakthi Kandaswamy is a board-certified infectious disease specialist practicing in Glendale, Arizona. She went to medical school at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India. She finished her internal medicine training at SIU School of Medicine in Springfield, IL. Dr. Kandaswamy practiced as a hospital medicine physician in Castro Valley, California prior to returning to training and completing her infectious diseases fellowship at UCSF Fresno, California. Dr. Kandaswamy is committed to antimicrobial stewardship and patient centered care and holds privileges at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center.

Dr. Osondu began her professional pursuits at the University of Nigeria Medical School, Nigeria, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine. She subsequently moved to the United States and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, NY. Afterward, she completed a fellowship in Infectious Disease at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, NJ. Dr. Osondu holds hospital privileges at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center and ST Joseph Dignity health.

Infectious Disease SpecialistDr. Gina Wu began her professional pursuits at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Old Westbury, NY, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Verde Valley Medical Center. She served as the Chief Medical Resident during the third year of her Internal Medicine residency. She completed a fellowship in Infectious Disease at Winthrop University Hospital.Dr. Wu is board-certified in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine. Dr. Wu brings a decade of experience to Glendale Infectious Disease. Dr. Wu will provide Infectious Disease Services at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center and Glendale Infectious Diseases.

An Arizona native, Daniel graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then left for the colder climate of Idaho to complete his physician assistant studies at Idaho State University, Meridian, Idaho.Now back in Arizona full time, Daniel has worked in orthopedics and rheumatology before moving over to infectious disease. When not working in the hospital, Daniel is probably reading, playing board games, training his rambunctious dog, caring for his eight tarantulas, or traveling with his wife in his spare time.

Infectious Disease PA-CClara is a certified physician assistant at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center. She got her Bachelor’s degree in the biological sciences with an emphasis on the Biomedical Sciences at Arizona State University. She later attended South University in Tampa where she received her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Clara has previously worked in urgent care before becoming an infectious disease PA. She developed a passion for infectious disease after exposure to a variety of infections as a provider and thinking critically about the management to target these diseases.
Outside of medicine, Clara loves to travel and eat delicious foods. During her free time, she finds joy in binge watching TV dramas and YouTube travel vlogs.
Danielle Trujillo CMA
Certified Medical Assistant Practice ManagerDanielle is a certified medical assistant for Glendale Infectious Diseases. She got her degree at Brookline college graduating with honors and top of her class. Danielle has previously worked in dermatology specializing in skin cancer for over 7 years before working in infectious disease . She developed a passion for the medical field at a young age helping her mom run a practice and surgical clinic. Danielle has been apart of our practice for over three years.
Outside of the clinic, Danielle loves to spend time with her husband , two children and three doggies.
